When and how did Down Low music come about and why?
Down low was formed out of love and frustration; for music we felt needed to be heard and for quality control amongst the heaps of new mediocre dance tracks with no vision and soul. It started out as an experiment in the spring of '99 to see if we (Minto George of Dallas, TX and JT Stewart of Chapel Hill, NC) could even stay in the game, but it soon proved to be a success and with the help of friends and music lovers all over the world, we are still around.

What do you want to accomplish with Down Low Music?
We don't really have any goals in mind other than putting out the best music we can possibly deliver to music lovers the world over. We'd like to put out more LPs in the near future and we are going to be releasing 2 CDLPs by 2 very well known highly revered electronic artists; The Connection Machine from Holland and Convextion from Dallas,TX. I guess you could say we'd like to hopefully inspire other new labels out there and to see resurgence in deep, high quality music from more domestic labels.
