What was your favorite event to play at? And why?
I would say the night I played for Bradley (Tres Manos) in Barcelona because it was during the Sonar festival this past year and it reminded me of warehouse parties of '94-'95. The space was just dirty and the sound system was rigged… It was just one of those parties where everyone in the room including promoters and heads were all dancing and being very vocal and just enjoying life.
What is the best thing about djing or producing?
The best thing about dj'ing is the fact that you get instant response from the music that you are playing. The transfer of energy from crowd to dj is something that still remains and enigma to me. If you've had the luxury of playing for a nice underground party, then you've felt one of the purest highs. When it comes to producing, having the knowledge and being able to convey your feelings through sound just isn't comparable to anything else.
What do you see that other music artists do that annoys you?
Steal people's shit.
What are your thoughts on Dallas electronic music compared to the rest of the nation? How do we compare?
Oh God… this is an essay. You know, Dallas really has a good thing going. People here just need to realize that us guys doing things i.e. throwing parties, producing, dj'ing, doing residencies… are going to keep doing this. The question is whether or not we're going to continue doing this here or some place else that appreciates it. Everywhere I've been is pretty much the same way it is here. The weeklies are decent, but when a guest comes in from out of town, it's packed. It's like if everyone could live in a different city for at least a week, they would realize this.
What do you think of the current state of the Dallas scene? What do you think we could do to improve it?
Of course we all know that we had our "peak", but the Dallas scene is getting back to a stable plateau. Due to the big rave epidemic (LOL), we've had to move things to bars and clubs so if it's not 21 and up then you have a better chance of having a good turnout… that's just a given. There are a lot of places in Dallas just opening up. Whether or not you play hip hop, house, drum and bass, trance get into these places and start having nights so there will be no reason for complaints that there is nothing to do. People we just need to stay motivated.

Where can we buy your music?
Pretty much any record store.
Do you want to thank anyone?
I'd like to thank my darling wife, Kelle Marie Lewis for sticking by me through all the craziness and the spontaneous music business, my daughter Allie for all the inspiration and motivation, my boy and big brother Boo Williams, Brett Johnson, Scott Pace, Josal aka Joe Lanius, Duane from Alluv Recordings, Dana and Luke from Nordic Trax, Jim Pasant for releasing my first record, James Oliver, Mike Constantino and the whole Hazy Daze posse, Phooka and all you Dallas Drum N Bass pioneers, and to God of course because through him all things are possible. Oh yeah, if I didn't mention you and you think I should have, you need to call a brotha.
Do you have anything else to add?
