Who inspires you musically and why?
When it comes to music, it's everyone that's around me that digs music. My first drum and bass influence was Dieselboy (obviously). I always like how he would play dope tracks in an order that made the tracks sound better. Lately, local people have really influenced me, especially Kid Icarus. Every time I watch him spin, I learn something new, whether its how to use an effect on the mixer, live sampling, or just getting a crowd into it, big or small, he has really shown me how to use what is provided to its fullest. Pibb is also a HUGE influence with my music, we just seem to vibe off each other very well, and we both seem to know what each other are going to do before we do it. The producers who make tracks I play also play a huge part influencing me, because without them, I wouldn't be able to do this DJ thing. All of these inspirations definitely make me the DJ I am today.

How much have you changed musically since you started?
Lots, I used to be all about playing classic tunes all the time, but lately I've been trying to play all of my newest stuff, since I work at Tech*Sun which provides me with most of the newest unreleased promo's and whites. You learn from every experience, and the most important thing I've learned is to stick to what the crowd wants to hear. Sometimes they want only new stuff, and sometimes they prefer to hear the classics that they are more familiar with. I've also learned that the crowd isn't only other DJ's, it's the people that pay to get into a place, so I try to provide what they paid for, and that's a good time.

Name two of your favorite Tracks.
Dj shadow - "Organ Donor" extended overhaul
J Majik and Sonic - "New Generation"

What was your favorite event to play at? And why?
The first time I got to rock out the main room at the lounge!!! That was soooo sick! The Dallas drum and bass massive made a late night appearance to support the cause, which was the fact that there was drum and bass in the main room! I had so much fun that night, it made me feel really good that all of the people who came out did! I am very proud of that night, I felt like I had accomplished something for drum and bass in the Dallas scene. Now, due to the success of that night, the Lizard Lounge is now going to have drum and bass in the main room of the Lizard Lounge ONCE A MONTH. If things keep going up for this, then there is no doubt in my mind that drum and bass has the potential to take over the Lizard Lounge for a night or two.

What is the best thing about Djing?
How much FUN it is! The ability to control such a strong and positive vibe with people is an awesome feeling. I also love turning people on to the drum and bass sound!

Do you plan to or do any studio work?
Yes, but I will always be a DJ first!!!

What do you think of the current state of the Dallas Scene? What do you think we could do to improve it?
It's great! There are scenes within this one scene, and I pretty much always have a good time when I'm out. I do miss Orchid Bar though. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The scene is definitely what you make it. It's so awesome that I get to promote and play at shows that help provide the good times that are had in our scene. I really appreciate what we have here in Dallas, because we could have it a lot worse and live somewhere that doesn't even have a scene!
