I started listening to electronic music as a teenager, but didn't start mixing records until a friend got a set of Technic turntables. After a move to Dallas I was introduced to DeMarkus Lewis, James Oliver and Brett Johnson. Through them, I was able to learn more about mixing records and understanding music. That same year I moved into a house on Ross Avenue with DeMarkus and Joseph Lanius. We began throwing parties under the crew name "Household Products" These parties were some of my first experiences at Djing for a crowd.

In 1999 I started to get more involved in the production side of the music. Thanks to James, Brett and De for allowing me to sit in on sessions at the Victor St. house and giving me the opportunity to pick up pointers along the way. In 2001 I released my first record on Crack & Speed out of Paris/New York.
In the summer of 2002 I moved to San Diego to focus more on music production. I started releasing singles under the name "Midas" with housemates Paul Paredes and Thomas Sahs.
With Midas as a successful beginning, I am now moving forward with my production back in Dallas. In a studio space with other production talents, I collaborate with Paul Paredes and other producers as well as working solo original material and remix's.
Only the future can tell. I learn something new in every session.
Yes. I think it is starting to get recognized as a production hot spot worldwide.
A large majority of the Dallas scene is extremely passionate about house music. Thanks to guys like JT Donaldson, Brett Johnson, DeMarkus, Tim Schumaker, and Lance (Landshark) DeSardi, Dallas is being recognized for its production talents. I also think Dallas' scene is strong because we have to work so damn hard to keep it alive.
