Do you think Dallas has its own sound when it comes to House music?
No, I don't think we have the same sound. We may all have similar influences but very distinctive sounds.
Who/what inspires you musically and why?
Great music, and people's reaction to great music!
Do you listen to any non electronic dance music? If so, what do you listen to?
I like to listen to talk radio. It keeps me sane after long hours of working on music. I like all kinds of music if its quality!!! Classic Rock, Hip Hop, Industrial, Jazz, Soul, etc.
Name your top two tunes at the moment.
One of my all time favorites that always gives me good memories is:
Bobby Caldwell - (What you want do for Love) Sin-Drome Records
On the House tip, Demarkus' new remix on Select:
Phillip Eno - (break out the paddle Demarkus Lewis Mix) Select
What was your favorite event to play at? And why?

One of my most memorable gigs was with Paul Paredes in Melbourne, Australia. The owner had purchased the entire staff western outfits to wear for our arrival. Everyone was wearing cowboy hats, sheriff badges, and side burns. He even tried to rent an electronic bucking bull for the party. It might sound kind of silly but it worked. You just don't see people making that much effort anymore.
Any upcoming gigs or releases you'd like to list?
Every Thursday @ the Pharmacy in Deep Ellum W/ Paul Paredes
Upcoming Releases
Vernon Dacosta (Freaks like us-Paul Paredes & Scott Pace Rmx) Icon
Lil' Beasties (Cum Shoot Me- Paul Paredes & Scott Pace Rmx) MFF
Lavish Habits (Clap Yo Feetz- Paul & Scott's freakin Rmx) Select
Slum Science (Creeps Who Sleep- Scott's Pacemaker Rmx) UST
Brett Johnson (I Eat Catfood- Scott Pace Rmx) Household
Paul Paredes and Scott Pace (Educated Girl) Dot Bleep
Where can we buy your music?
Any record store that carries house music.
What do you think of the current state of the Dallas scene?
I think the nightlife and house scene in Dallas could be better. I am not saying I don't like it, I think it can be improved. There are no more underground parties and everything has moved into the bars and clubs. Unlike before, we are now limited on where we can have parties. I think Dallas is having a hard time adjusting. People are now getting bored with what Dallas nightlife has to offer.
What do you think we can do to improve it?

I think we could improve our scene by getting off the couch and going out. Support your locals!!!. Every person can put back into the scene and promote its growth. All it takes is inviting a person you know who has never been to a party or heard house music. It might inspire somebody. The house scene cannot grow if it is always the same people and nobody new is being introduced and getting into it!
Is there anything you see that other musicians do that annoys you?
NO.
Do you want to thank anyone?
My Mother and Father for being the coolest parents ever!!! Thuy, for inspiring and loving me everyday. Demarkus, James and Brett for everything. Paul Paredes for being the best work partner ever!!! And also Kelle Marie, Mike Constantino, Redeye, Joseph Lanius, Dustin Merritt, Hazy Daze Collectiff, Tom Landry, The Pharmacy, Scott Hoepker, Sofalab crew, Orly Angelo, Luke Sardello, Warren Esters, Waric Cameron, Eric Scholwinski, John Walker, thanks for being such good friends!
Do you have anything else to add?
Yes, I would like to say that I am very grateful for my friends and family that have supported and encouraged me to do what I love.
