How did you get started?
I discovered "electronica" through friends and hanging out at clubs. I was in the military at the time on the east coast, and of course I was taken to a party for the first time by a friend. This is where I first heard house music and ironically the headliner that night was Hipp-e. My roommate at the time had some turntables and hearing him playing everyday just kept up my curiosity. He started teaching me and here I am. quote from Ronin

How much have you changed musically since you started?
Enormously! I first listened to trance and techno. I would buy all those old school cd compilations, the ones that were titled with, "This is Techno". The very first records that I bought were actually house music, even though I was still listening to trance. Man how weird is that. Red Eye is to be blamed for my first batch of house records. I went from trance to disco-filtered house, then to progressive, back to filtered house and finally landed in the sound of deep house. It took me a while but now that I have found this sound I won't be leaving it anytime soon.

What kind of music can we expect to hear from you?
I like to play what makes me move, and what I would like to hear if I was out there dancing. I just go with what feels right to me in the sense of moving around on the floor. I enjoy having the freedom to have a full spectrum with house. You might hear me play something deep and chunky… and if the moment is right, bring on the funky banging stuff.

Who or what inspires you musically and why?
Who? Erin my life partner. All the girls in SuckMyDeck - every one of these women inspire me with their talent, knowledge and wisdom. You girls are my family and I love you. There are also many local djs and producers that get me fired up and inspire me. The three that have had the greatest and most direct impact on me are Redeye, Demarkus Lewis and John Walker. All of these gentlemen have helped me in different ways. Much love and many thanks to them and their families.

What inspires me? How do I put this; You have one person(s) expression or point of view, of how all these different records can be mixed together for one moment in time. Also at that moment, you have up to thousands of people feeling the same energy and emotion at the exact same moment. It just doesn't get any more inspirational.
