I think I first heard EDM on Edgeclub in high school. I was hooked immediately, and went out to try to find anything that was similar to what I heard. I started off listening to House and Speed Garage, and the more I listened the more I learned. Pretty soon I was listening to whatever I got my hands on. I started to get into the club scene in high school as well. I had a blast every time I went and had a great time dancing to the music. It became almost a ritual every weekend and it still is today.
It wasn't until I met a girl named Racheal, that I was introduced to raves. I went out to one at Decibel and was overwhelmed. It was something that I had never experienced before, and it was a life-changing event.

The one genre that got me hooked was Drum and Bass. I started exploring D&B more and gained a lot of knowledge thanks to the Covert Ops guys. I finally decided to get my own decks and started playing around with records. At first I was playing the harder techy stuff, but soon found my niche; Liquid Funk, a style of D&B that combines a lot of different elements in music. I'm very open to various types of music and Liquid Funk gave me a lot of that in one little package. I got my first official gig at the Red Jacket in the main room kicking off the night for a show Scientia did with TeeBee as the headliner. This show basically threw me out there and it was either sink or swim, and I've been lucky enough to keep my head above the water.
I've played at various gigs and have done a few weeklies in Dallas. I joined up with Stamina and Drummatik (RIP) and I have been able to push the sound even more with the two crews. Jeremy B, Nick, and I did an internet radio show called "Stamina Radio" on
www.DnBradio.com. Drummatik had a weekly at Crave where we showcased the darker and lighter side of D&B. I even helped promote events for Covert Ops about the time I started spinning and gained a lot of behind the scenes knowledge. Everything has been a learning experience for me. I think I learn something new every time I play out.
