Our music has really jumped across the spectrum. It's hard to really confine it to one particular genre at this point. Some of our tunes
sound like rock while some are electro and some even hip hop. We've really focused on songwriting and have been working with 2 very talented
personalities: Redeye and Suza Kanon - they are the shit....they can really write songs. It’s not just some sample ramble.
This project is for the masses and not just the dancefloor. We've put some real emotion in it. It has its high points but we definitely throw
a little anger and aggression to help balance out all the "music and whine!"...Not dissin' just being honest :)
What tips would you give any up and coming producers for success?
Do it for the love and not the money! Be yourself and never change your style for anyone.
Any upcoming projects for Honest Cars?
Select Recordings will be doing a Friday night at a fresh new venue coming soon in 2006.
Also, Honest Cars will be a part of the resurrection of the seminal
house weekly ‘Bump’ on Tuesday nights at Wax which will
include rotating residents such as John Walker, Demarkus
Lewis, and Josh Kynd.
Honest Cars has been building up a catalog of new
material over the last year. You can expect to hear some dance
singles in 2006 such as Devil's Disco and Sensation but to
be completely honest, we have placed or focus elsewhere (away from club residencies).
Upcoming Releases:
Honest Cars EP - Select Recordings
Remixes:
Hola Guapo - Honest Cars Remix - Grin Music
Phil Weeks & Redeye - Wet - Honest Cars Remix - Robsoul
Cpen - Honest Cars Remix – Robsoul
