How would you define current dj style and what would you say are its
primary elements?
I would call myself primarily a dnb dj focused on the Nu School jump
up style but basically I play anything that get the people hype.
For those unfamiliar with the sound of Nu School Jump sound who are
some notable artists that people can seek out?
Just to name a few I would say Twisted Individual, Generation Dub, and
Taxman for starters.
Tell me about your current productions and what can we expect?
My first production effort is an attempt to reflect my current dj
style and give people something familiar while my future efforts are
geared towards developing that familiar sound and branching into other
styles and genres in order to create something new and refreshing. The
common factor being I like to make dope beats for the streets.
A lot of people recognize you from your trademark dreads and now
you've cut them, has that affected your ability to work the mixer or
hurt you with the ladies? Discuss.
Well, people don't ask for autographs as much because they can't
recognize me as easily. Plus, it almost feels like I'm a new jack for
all the kids on the scene. And of course, it makes it easier for me to
meet the parents of future ex-wives. Now taking applications ladies.
Lol.
Right On! Hahaha..
So on a serious note - who would you like to thank that helped you on
your come up over the years?
First, I want to thank my boy Croix who was been there since I've been
5 years old. Also, I want to big up Katalyst and Chrisko for my first
gigs and Astro and Trek and my entire DAP family. Also, I want to
mention Phooka, Etech and Big Ballin Colin my partners in Battletech.
Lastly, my boy Titan and also I:Cue and Trac for helping show me the
way.
Finally, I want to thank of the rest of the dnb peeps who have seen me
play over the years and whom I've shared drinks with. Especially those
I don't have space to mention. Without the fans and love I couldn't
have made it this far. Thanks for your support.
