did you really expect them to lay out all the evidence in the article? what i got from the article was that there was some evidence but that they didn't want to disclose it at that time because it wasn't confirmed yet... and that they thought there was a good chance that either more evidence would be found or that the evidence they were already presented with could be confirmed
unlike your suggestion which is absurd and no reasonable person would conclude that it was true...
