GREETINGS FELLOW WIERDOS.
I have stumbled onto something I feel I should share. a while back after a long evening with the promise of a longer morning to come I, by chance, watched the Yellow Submarine while simultaniously listening to U.F.Orb. ('92)
at first I thought it was just my state of mind. it was soon clear that it was not. the simularities to the "Darkside of Oz" phenominon were just too many.
perhaps these blokes who are notorious Pink Floyd super fans have payed the ultimate homage to there psy-mentors.
examples are ringo closing the mail-slot to the sound of a turntable stopping & his red car going down the stairs perfectly synced to a break in "u.f.orb". another is in the submarine when time reverses and younger ringo cries "I want my mommy" to the sound of "Blue Room" teasing him for being a cry baby on time, etc, etc, etc. the list is endless. AMAZING!
it all ends with samples of "does that mean you trip over the words?" as John is spewing out block letters to "all you need is love" while the flying Glove is tripped up over the words. awe inspiring through and through.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS HEARD OF THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
we did this again last night and it was as I remembered and more. my friend was shitting his pants the whole time, speachless.
in order to sync these two up, que up the album and press play upon seeing the orbs of light in the United Artists opening sequence. you may have to adjust a bit but you know you're right on when the rainbows rise & meet from the hats at the same time you hear the ascending low frequency. perfectly, you'll enter Pepper Land to the soundtrack that only the Orb can provide.
please give this a try and let me know what you think. I feel like this is something that all Orb fans will greatly appreciate and I want to share it.
thanks.
