Its one thing if they will let you join in. I think the problem is that if you wack off to much sex between you and your partner is not as good. Either the guy isnt as turn on, or fully reloaded, doesn't stay hard... Or the girl just won't fucking cum from using the dildo to much and getting desensitized.
For people that say its gross, I think those people are just not comfortable with their own or other people sexuality. Maybe even embarassed, who knows. Its not gross though IMO.
