Sooo...I have this down comforter that I sleep with year round. I can't remember when I bought it, but it was several years ago. I'm one of those people that can NOT deal with just sleeping with a sheet. Anyway, it's been getting pretty beat up over the past however long but I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. One of the kiddos got ahold of some scissors right after I moved here and cut a big hole in it, so I just duct taped it back together and slept with that part at my feet, even though some of the feathers were still coming out. There were stains all over it from the babies spilling stuff or rubbing their gooey hands on it, but that was still not enough to deter me.
But yesterday my son walked up while I was wrapped up in it and peed on the blanket and on me.
It's now sitting in a box on the curb.
*pours a little laundry detergent on the ground for my homie*
