Grandpa is out of surgery
They noted he has two completed blocked arteries. They tried to place stents but were not successful. They attempted to go thru the groin this time. The physician is really concerned about one of the arteries towards the side of the heart. He will meet with Dad's other physicians and come up with a plan.
Options:
Due nothing
Attempt another stent placement thru the underarm
Open heart surgery
Should know plan within the next couple of weeks
Dad will go home tonight around 6pm PST. |
My dad had a very successfull surgery going through the groin, newer technique but better than breaking open your rib cage!!
