Had the freaking best time!!! This was way better than last years Meltdown!

The new announcements really started off the night. Jeremy Word was at the door when we got there about 8:30. He said, "I think I have something you would like." He handed me a flier with the new announcements. This summer is going to kick serious ass! Armin van Buuren OUTDOORS, Dave Dresden, Markus Schulz, and Deadmau5 ---- Holy Shit! I screamed and nearly peed in my pants!! LOL

Got to hear a few locals, like Mali starting us off with a killer warmup. Jayson played one of the best sets I've heard of his. He played a great finale that had everyone jumping and packing the floor so early in the night.

We went outside and the outdoor stage was KILLER! The LED lights were absolutely beautiful and bright. I completely forgot my camera, so no pics or vids. The weather was perfect. It kept threatening to rain, but it was just blowing over all night. There was a breeze and the most it would do would sprinkle to cool everyone off. Jeremy had it soooo better organized this year. He even had the stairs opened and widened up going from the patio to the ground outside. Traffic and everything flowed so well. I was really impressed how everything was just taken care of.

Randall Jones - caught the last bit of his set outside. He was warming up the crowd perfectly. I was dancing around with my beer already so early. lol The sound system outside was SOOOOOO awesome! It was loud and crisp clear. The bass was amazing - the earth felt like it was rumbling.

Dave Aude - His tunes were so damn fun! He was playing some awesome remixes of popular 90s songs. We were all singing along. Electronic House slowly turned into some banging trance by the end of his set. One of my favorite moments was near the end of his set. It was sprinkling and you could see a little bit of lightning in the background. Dave played that crazy mix of Gabriel & Dresden's "A New Path." I don't remember the name of the remix but it's the one that's even deeper than the original, and during the breakdown, the vocals go "I hear all the thunder low, I feel all the rain" and the track has a low rumble of thunder in it. and you hear "I feel it again and again and again and again and again and again......" It dropped and the strobes came on. Loved it!

George Acosta - He started off with some old old trancey stuff. No one was really digging it and you could see people running inside. lol Not only that, but he turned up the sound so damn loud that the awesome bad ass sound system was really badly distorted. The bass was just awful and it was horrible to listen to. Then in the middle of his set, he had a really really really bad train wreck. At first I thought it was just echoing badly off of the overpass in the background - but no, it was just really that bad. Train wrecks don't ever really upset me or anything, I just think it's funny. All the guys around me were going "Whoooooaaaa!!!! No Way!" LOL It seemed like it took him a while to correct it too. We went inside for a little bit, and then came back out to check out the end of his set - which was way better! It seemed like the distortion was corrected and he was back to breaking out some banging tunes for redemption. Awesome Cafe Del Mar remix and I think I heard a great remix of Carte Blanc too.

Jeremy Dawson - I LOVE STG! But wasn't in the mood for Jeremy. I sometimes love Electronic craziness, but wasn't feeling it I guess. He played some remixes of some STG songs that I really really love, but wanted sooo bad to hear the original. Like "On a Rainy Monday" - of course, that wouldn't fly well in a club atmosphere LOL

GREEN VELVET ---- WOW!
That dude slammed it hard! The bass was kicking our asses! I was so super impressed. He did some live performances that we didn't expect. He turned his headphones into a mic and did the vocals straight from there. It was freaking badass! Everyone was jumping for the sky. I had so much fun! They played with the lights and effects too much. The strobe lights were so damn bright. It reminded me of when Rabbit in the Moon did their live performance here. The strobe lights were so bright and rapid that I couldn't think. lol If you weren't rolling, you needed some serious blueblockers or something lol I had to turn around and enjoy the show with my back to the stage. My fav song - FLASH! That was thrown down so damn hard.

This chick on acid came up to me and she looked like she couldn't figure out what was going on. She grabbed my boob and squeezed it. LOL I was freaked out, and she looked up and saw my face and said, "Oh I'm sorry" and then walked off. I was so damn freaked out about her. She was creepy. Then a little later, she somehow ran into me again. She came up behind me, grabbed my ass, and her hand went between my legs. I jumped and turned around, and the girl was still in this other word and said, "Oh I'm sorry, I'm looking for my friend. Have you seen my friend?" I was really annoyed with her and said, "No, I don't know who you are. leave me alone!" A little later in the night, she bumped into me again, So I got on the other side of my group to get away from her. We started to get in a photo op and we were ready for a flash from a camera, but she ran into Jayson and pushed him into me. It was then I was about to smack the shit out of her. She drove me insane.

After that, we went home. Missed Drop the Lime. I was just too damn exhausted 8:30pm - after 2am ....it was time for food and bed - yay!
