It has nothing to do with you or the dog. It's an instinct. And the reason he keeps doing it is because he can smell it in the clothes already. I have some stuff at home that you can wash your clothes in that will kill the smell. I'll look at the name of it and tell ya. You NEED to do that because it won't stop if you don't.
The other reason he is doing it is... since cats are such clean animals, they don't like clutter and it sometimes causes them to try to mark. We have been picking up all our clothes and shit and trying to keep the house as clean and clutter free as possible lately. They actually let up a bit when we got back from Bonnaroo, but since then we have been lazy and tossing clothes on the floor when we get home and stuff, and we've noticed it picked back up.
I'm actually spending my day tomorrow cleaning the house for that reason alone.
