the best way to get gigs in this city is to go out and meet people, however being under 21 kinda hurts that. people need remember who you are and the more they see you the more they are willing to hire you. how good you are doesnt matter, in the lounge/mash up scene whatever, almost all the dudes that gig 4-5 nights a week straight up suck, minus a handful. i have heard so many trainwrecks, its amazed me, but they know how to network and that is what it takes, not just in dallas but anywhere.
