As a person in IT that has to deal with idiot users all day, I can guarantee that your IT department would LOVE to give you a new laptop just to get you to shut the fuck up and go away. If they're not allowed to order you a new one then you need to complain to management, not at IT.
Besides 4 laptops in a year and a half? That's on you as the user. The IT guys aren't doing anything to fuck up 4 computers.
