I think this is a case of the lesser of two evils. Yeah, the RAVE act sounds scary and all, but I've never seen it enforced. Generally, if the cops want to find a reason to shut a party down they can do it on noise, fire code, or some other piece of easily enforceable law.

Really though, if the police have to shut a party down it's the promoter's fault, not the cops. 9 times out of 10 the promoter is trying to do something stupid and illegal, and they totally have it coming.

But getting back to the lecture at hand... Biden may have pushed through this one piece of shitty legislation in his 30+ years in the senate, but that's no reason to not vote for Barack. Compared to the damage another 4 years of Bush in the White House, your right to party seems pretty trivial.

Single issue voters are total fucking dumbasses, IMHO.
