The way I see it, Obama is paving the way for things to come. He is taking steps. It's not going to happen overnight. I think he's a very smart man. Just like he didn't dodge the issue of abortion at Notre Dame, he's now bringing awareness of LGBT issues to the forefront as well. Do I wish he'd take the plunge and say he supports gay marriage? Sure. Do I think there's a pretty damn good chance he will in his second term? You betcha.
