You could compare a single gear bike to a cruiser. Problem with cruisers though is that they are heavier than most bikes and slow as Christmas and you can't keep up with the lighter bikes on group rides. So if speed and a workout during distance rides is what you are after, plus the advantage of pulling a few tricks on the street, a fixed gear like CLAWFUL's is the bike for you.
