It's a pivitol moment for the opposition. This is the point that they either back down (whether in a slow violent way, or quickly), or they stick it out for a real revolution.
However, even if revolution breaks out in that country, the question is how should America react. Both candidates are pretty much douchebags with a nuclear power, jew-hating agenda. Which candidate would you back?
Sure, we support the people, but history will show us backing one asshole over another.
