Absolutely not true. They lost for two reasons:
1) For appx the last 3yrs of the administration, they were not standing up to the insane spending habits of the democratic led congress and in their own way they just became part of the same craziness and ALSO spent money like it grows on trees. [completely contrary to conservative beliefs]
2) They absolutely sucked at defending themselves against the hourly onslaught of liberal media outlets who on a daily basis would spew lies and propaganda to the point that many Americans still believe them to this day.
For proof just flip through some of the absolute wacko lies that get spewed all over this forum. It's just absolute insanity the stuff that some people believe here. The old adage goes that" a lie told enough times, eventually becomes reality" [for some]
So, to sum up the two points... they lost because the were not "conservative enough"
