I've verified this with multiple veterans from different branches(Navy, Marines, Army specifically). So yea, she's being a pain in the ass, but he also slipped on protocol. In the end, it's only as big as you and the Right want to make it. Realistically, more people care about Jon & Kate Plus 8 than this shit. |

In all services, superior officers are referred to as Sir or Ma'am when responding to an inquiry or question. I.E. Male Colonel to Female General="Colonel, do you remember that statement?" "Yes Ma'am I remember that statement!"... "Yes Ma'am, I will make sure the men are fed"... "Yes ma'am, I will get right on that ma'am"
Very seldom is it proper or necessary to reply: "Yes General Mathis, I remember that statement!"
It's only a small thing because it's a democratic senator in question. I guess you will back her regardless what she does. Reminds me of how so many didn't think that having extra-marital affairs in the oval office was "any big deal in the grand scheme of things", Neither was lying under oath, etc.
The reason it is a big deal: Her obvious and public disregard/disrespect for the military projects an image that is spread throughout the world. It especially affects young twisted kids (who already have no respect for the people who provide the freedom that they abuse daily)
