the first bar i ever drank at was the crews inn on fitzhugh on a tuesday night when i was 18. me and my girl worked in the travel industry going thru college so we worked with like 90% gays and we went out with this chick and two gay friends of ours and she took us all there (me not knowing it was a gay bar).
i walk in to that shady ass shithole and see a disco ball and hear dance music and go "wtf?"...but goddamit we stayed because those drinks were strong and cheap so fuck that when you're 18 you'll drink a natty light if it's free.
years later i've been in almost all of the big gay bars in dallas and alot of the seedy ones too. big whoop now though.
