twitter has opened up a whole new world for me. facebook is secondary and ddm is last in line of all my online activity. from twitter, i've gotten free albums, mix downloads, first looks at blog links, discount alerts for retail places i like to shop, and overall a sense of what people are doing who i admire. to get started, if you want to follow some cool organizations: bust magazine, the fader, hipsterrunoff, greg mishka, stereobait, discosalt, discooutcast, trash menagerie, etc. i even follow some makeup artists and nutritionists...and this one weird art guy who only tweets his expenditures and bank account balance.
