Our drug prohibition laws are much more specifically a result of racist trade policies... not bible thumpers. Started off with restricting the opium trade because we didn't like the chinese monoploy and moved on to banning freaking weed from south of the border used by blacks and browns... heroin and cocaine too |
Being in the bible belt does not help with any change though. It makes it much harder.
