Congress already knows what it's doing because congress and the president tells it what they want to see happen then the feds do it and report back on it. Maybe I'm jaded, but I barely trust Congress to tie their shoes much less audit the federal reserve. Then it begs the question of once you've audited the fed, then what? Let congress assert more operational control over the fed so it really will be run like a government agency?
