mighty is cool. they are doing a show on thursday if you'll be there that will be good. sound is awesome. not a fan of the headliner odissi, but the locals playing will be fantastic.
anu is rad. small but vibe is the word there.
shine. i have never had a bad time there. total family style.
supper club. hippy fun fo sho
not a fan of ruby sky myself, but not sure what you are looking for. it is huge, super club styles. you'll see a lot of shiny shirts and pay out the ass for drinks and just to get in. just me speaking, it would take something monumental to get me to go there. just not my kind of crowd. but if someone you want to see is playing, it would be fun.
1015 is the most famous. fun if it's the right night. wouldn't just show up blind to who is playing. things aren't what they used to be. but for sure, rad if it's the right night. if you go when Antennae is throwing a party, expect a packed out crowd (get there early to get in), and a serious party.
temple is alright. top floor is usually a little....amateur (crowd wise) they do have some great talent through there sometimes. downstairs is where a lot of the fun is. several rooms, all different visually and musically. more of the party peeps down there.
a ton of folks headed out of SF this weekend to hit a campout outside of the bay.. it's gonna be funnnnn. so perhaps things a little slower this weekend than most.
end up is open from early friday morning through early monday morning without closing. you can even have food delivered to you if ya get hungry. it's medium big and has a huge patio as well. they do have some cool dj's through as well. if you go there, you will definitely meet people that are headed to the after, after, after parties.
that being said,
the best parties in SF aren't advertised anywhere publicly. the underground is alive out there, and some of the best parties don't start until 6:00 am saturday, or sunday, or monday.
parties in various park locations and txic beach have been some of my favorites over the years.
i don't know what music you are into, but you couldn't help but have fun with any of these crews:
evil breaks - hands down the best breaks, tech house, and a little more in SF. undisputed. but more fun than you have ever had at a party. over the top bad ass. typically willing to take a chance on awesome shit that hasn't hit more mainstream and are always ahead of the game.
opel - super old school. mostly house, but in the most classy and fun way possible. opel = SF
space cowboys - ummmm. not sure how to describe. all over the place musically, but to sum them up, the have a make shift tank (the Unimog) that shows up at parties, with wings that open up from it sporting massive sound/video. if the Mog is there, it is a slammin party. a lot of crews in SF work with these guys.
have fun! and remember: there are loads of ways to have fun in SF without ever entering a club
