another thing that would fix the problem is you being a bit more responsible. you aren't the only broke person with student loans. they have this thing called deferment and whoever gave you your student loans will let you defer it if you just call them and ask.
ignoring your student loans doesn't make them go away. blowing them off only gets you in more trouble.
if you plan on getting back in school and finishing your degree at some point you need to call them up and see what you need to do to get in good standing.
you also need to start hitting up careerbuilder and monster.com and all that to find yourself a better paying job. the government isn't going to do it for you.
