| Re: Opportunity Lost
Sorry you had a bout with cancer dude, but it isn't the end of the world, and it sure as hell doesn't mean you have the right to shirk your responsibilities.
I have a condition called fibromyalgia, it consists of chronic fatigue, pain throughout all 4 quadrants of your body, Migranes, Hypoglycemia, insomnia, nausea, among many other symptoms. It makes it very hard to hold down a job with having to constantly call in sick due to migranes and chronic pain issues, always being tired, ect. It makes it hard to concentrate in school as well.
Its also one of those conditions that is very hard to get disability on, due to the fact it is still not recognised by many doctors as a chronic disease, And even less by the state, due to the fact there is no set diagnostic steps. So most people who have it, either can't collect disability or having to hire lawyers in order to get it started.
It still doesn't me I won't try my hardest, I still don't blame the world for it.
I suck it up and drive on, it just means I have to try twice as hard as the next person, it also means I am really proud of when I do succeed and know if I can do this I can do anything. Its a matter of changing your outlook man, the more you waddle in pity, the more it gets to you.
