Very true. The original post in this thread talks about how America should have
reacted to these terrorist acts differently. I say maybe America should have
analyzed why these attacks took place and try to change that! You don't deter violence with violence, you try to prevent it! When you fail to prevent it, then the reason you failed should be analyzed and dealt with.
It's kinda like defensive driving. Ya gotta watch out for those around you to keep from getting in a car wreck. If ya just get in the middle lane, put your blinders on, and step on the gas, pretending that nobody else is on the road, then you WILL get in an accident one day, probably sooner than later.
In the real world, you have to watch out to make sure you're not pissing people off and inadvertantly instigating violence. But maybe I'm way off...
