Stacy's set was the tightest I have heard him play in the 5 times I have now seen him. He started out with very gospel and then gradually built up into the bouncy, funky, Chicago style house we all come to expect from him. I counted at least 5 unreleased tracks he played which included what I thought was the highlight of the night, Kidd's remix of our very own Tim Funatik's "Feel The Power".
HOLY CHRIST THAT SHIT WAS HITTIN'!!!
In case you guys don't know, Tim's track and Stacy's remix of it is going to be coming out on the Chicago superlabel Basement Boys (
www.basementboys.com). "Feel The Power" is going to be a big hit for them. Keep checking our website as we should have some realaudio versions of the track available to listen to shortly. I will make a post when it has been uploaded.
A BIG CONGRATS TO TIM FUNATIK, YET ANOTHER TECH*SUN ARTIST MAKING A BIG CONTRIBUTION TO THE WORLD OF HOUSE MUSIC (AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING FOLKS)
Props also go out to Stacy for sportin' the Tech*Sun Records shirt (and I didn't ask him to wear it) and to Matt Hughes for the shout-outs for the store over the mic. That means a lot to me and thanks for representin'. I took lots of pics and sometime on Monday I should have a "PICS" section up on our site. I'll post a link for everyone to check them out.
Don't forget, our new online store Version 3.0 is up and running, check it out!
