it's all about marketing.... and what catches on
at one particular time....


at one point, the french was the most important
country for house music...

at one point, the UK was....

often, the shift returns to Stateside...


so it really depends on the time or era
that you're talking about...


right now, i think all eyes are on the US...
which all the bumpity blip house that's
being made right now, that sound started
with the likes of Todd Edwards (also
considered the ultimate godfather of
2-step garage) and then taken to the
next level by people like Sneak and
Derrick Carter...


also, Toronto (and Canada in general)
currently has a spotlight on it, too, with
folks like Paranoid Jack and Jay Tripwire
and Ludikris throwin' down some choonz.


Some people would say SanFran and Dallas
(not to mention all the former Dallas folk
now residing in SanFran and/or SanD)
are also solid influences on house scene
right now...


so to answer that question....


House is a global phenomenon... and it
takes input on a global level to realize it....
