i find it quite easy to use CDRWIN. its very small program an implements burning cue files. so all you have to do is record your demo. save it as a WAV file. then create a new text file and create a cue sheet for where you want your tracks split. import it to CDRWIN with your wav file and burn. That way you dont have to split your file into separate tracks and you dont have to worry about that 2-second gap because there wont be one.
