Actually, 48% is good considering that he has been hammered repeatedly by the media for the past few months on issues regarding the 9/11 commission, the death toll in Iraq, 60 minutes Interviews with former administration officials trying to twist the truth, etc. And being that Kerry hasn't been able to gain on Bush, it just goes to show that the more and more americans are starting to trust the man. Being that all of the myths over the past year about pre-9/11 knowledge and the Iraq oil & imperialism conspiracies have been laid to rest, his numbers just may rise a bit more.

Oh yea, Kerry's flip-flopping by the way has helped him as well.
