They aren't renowned for their investigative journalism outside of who is having sex with who.

Incidentally, the QLR (regiment in question) has questioned the authenticity of the photo's, apparently the weapons in the picture are not used by them and a truck in the background of one of them has never been used in Iraq, ever.

However, an investigation is still under way by the RMP.
