Fucking gold. I listened to his speech today at Westminister College. Booooring. He kept saying that Iraq needs change. But he gave no hints as to what he would do. He mentioned the international community. I couldn't help but laugh. The same international community that bolted from Iraq a few months ago. He keeps referring to Germany and France, saying that we need their help. But we can say 'oil-for-food' together can't we? The man has no vision. The economy is on track. We obviously have to stay the course in Iraq. He says that we may fail in Iraq, when we need a leader that says we will not fail, under any circumstances. He claims he will produce 10,000,000+ jobs, and he modifies the misery index with whatever will produce negative results. There are pieces(from left-wing journalists) every day in nationwide newspapers telling the democratic party to find another candidate before it's too late. That's when you know he's in trouble. |

Stay what course? I don't even think we have a "course" in Iraq now except to fight with guerillas who don't want us there. We were supposed to turn control of the country back over to the Iraqi people this summer, but everyone has been so tight-lipped about what form that government takes that I don't even see how that could be possible. Especially with the growing civilian instability. On the other hand, I don't believe that we should just pack up our troops and immediately head home, either. From my understanding, a good part of the Iraqis would be much more willing to accept occupation by a UN force than the american led "multinational" forces there now. I think it's the least we can do for blowing the UN off earlier and for miserably failing to keep the people of Iraq secure in the post-sadam era.

I'll reserve judgement until he writes more than the front page.

This cat makes the assumption that Kerry if elected would run things any better than Bush. This may be the case, but then it may not and Kerry could get us even more fucked. bottom line is it dont matter which party it is these skull n bones and CFR mofos and the intelligence community are really the ones in control and Kerry will probably be involved in just the same type of nation-building as Bush is. Maybe with a little more UN support. The Kerry would raise taxes, try and miserably fail at publicizing health care, further expand the new (and old) bureaucracies, and kick back corporate welfare to his buddies and campaign donors. www.soletsJustStartOurOwnCountry.com | |
