"One: I do not see women driving cars in our country because of the consequences that would spring from it such as the spread of corruption, women uncovering their hair and faces, mingling between the sexes, men being alone with women and the destruction of the family and society in whole." how different our societies are however i never knew women driving could destroy the family and society as a whole...but then again, I have seen how some women over here drive so..ya |

Kinda related... I was reading an article the other day about Bahrain and ex-patriots moving there from Saudi Arabia... Recently, terrorists in Saudi Arabia have been invading various compounds throughout Saudi Arabia looking for Christians, this has sparked an interest in Ex-patriots in relocating to Bahrain. Bahrain is only a 30 minute to 1 hour commute to Saudi Arabia's major cities Bahrain allows women to drive and is relaxed on clothing requirements. Bahrain is also free of the violence that has been seen towards ex-patriots in Saudi Arabia and has an elite police force that deals with terrorism. It also has a thriving club/ social scene and local residents are allowed to drink at such establishments. The current population of ex-patriots in Saudi Arabia sits at 6 million, driving the core of many saudi business sectors including oil and information technology. Bahrain's ex-patriot population sits at 200,000, but is expected to grow exponetially as Saudi ex-pat residents looks towards moving there to escape persecution. If violence continues in Saudi Arabia towards ex-patriots, Bahrain will certainly experience a great influx of new residents bringing Saudi earned money into the country.

Bahrain also counts as two tours , i.e. 1 year = 2 in the USN, due to the psychological stress factor. (unless of course that has changed due to recent issues). On the note of chicks with stick shifts, I was planning on making loot opening up an SUV off road obstacle course for 98 pound housewives. Kids are at school, hubbies at work paying off the gigantowagon, it only costs 50 bucks......
