His constituency will have changed, and unlike Bush I think he will make an effort to rule from the center. For no other reason than it is just good politics. It worked for Clinton.

You could be right. MA is the most liberal part of the country minus the central San Francisco area. He is going to have to prove he is willing to bend a little if he wants to be president.

You mean like how Bush stood up and told the country he was an evangelical fundamentalist Christian bent on bringing God back into government? Make no mistake, Bush's team of spinsters did plenty to cover up what he was really all about - and he wouldn't be in office if they hadn't.

I may not agree with what he said, but at least I know where he stood on it. I still don't know what Kerry will do when in office. He's letting the Bush camp dictate the campaign by spending all his time focusing on rebutting their remarks rather than impressing upon us what he would do in office.

You can disagree with what he's said and what he's done - but do you doubt HE believes what he says and does?

How did you know? Rewind 3 1/2 years. Bush, if you recall, campaigned as the new "compassionate conservative." He said that "gay marriage is a states' issue." He said that abortion rights "should be preserved." And he also said that he "did not believe in nation-building." So, tell me please, how did you know what he was really all about?

where has GW really confused you? Again, its more than fair to hate everything he does and stands for but he's pretty up front about who he is, what does and what he stands for.

I'm sure he does believe it, but he made dramatically different claims when he was campaigning. He is almost unrecognizable from the guy you all elected in 2000. The fact is, Kerry has been talking about issues and he has been asking Bush to debate. Bush has, however, done little more than throw around his short list of cliches and personally attack Sen. Kerry.

He's up front now about it, but he sure wasn't during the last election. He's overplayed his hand. They thought everyone would just keep waving flags until after his reelection but they were oh so wrong.
