![]() | 225,000 Jobs in May
Nine hundred and sixty two thousand jobs from March to May. One million, four hundred thousand jobs were created since August. Jobs are climbing in manufacturing. Strongest growth in 20 years. I love the liberal mantra that Kerry speaks. "The jobs are low paying jobs". This man can't give Bush credit for anything. Let's do a study and find out if there's a slight decrease in someone's pay, and make that the major issue for bashing Bush.Every economist that i've seen interviewed over the past 3 days has consistently stated that the rise in pay has risen across the board in every area. And that the jobs that are being created are good paying, high quality jobs. This is a good thing. |

"created" must be a loose term for reinstated because over 300,000 of these "new" jobs are really just old ones that just got refilled. Also if the growth is so great why are college graduates filling positions high school kids, or h.s. grads. should be getting?

Maybe a better term than either of those - if we're going to get into this fine a level of semantics - would be "recreated". But this is how the business cycle works. After a recession or depression, old jobs that were lost are recreated and refilled. Just because they aren't brand new biotech positions doesn't invalidate the fact that 300,000 less people are unemployed. This is another precursor to an expanding economy.

hehe - the first position I was offered practising paid less than starting pay for a manger at McDonald's....hell so did the second and third jobs I took #2 - worked 6 months then started job #3 - did that 6 months etc etc - then finally started getting paid. That's how you build a resume. | |
