I admittedly dont know much about edwards, but he definitely seems like the most likable guy that kerry was choosing from. def a good move.

People don't generally cast their vote based upon the VP. Still, this helps Kerry deal with two of his biggest campaign problems. First off, it breathes some life into what is seen as a rather dull ticket. And second, it brings some optimism where Kerry has been seen by some as pessimistic. All in all, I don't think it will have an enormous effect on the election, but it will certainly do Kerry more good than harm, whereas Cheney could likely have the opposite effect on Bush. I am just relieved he did not pick someone polarizing (ie Hillary) or someone completely lifeless (ie Gephardt).

Why? Because he has nice hair? Symbolism over Substance in my opinion. The man has been in the senate for what, 4 years? He has no political experience. He has no foreign policy experience. He's a rookie. He's crippled the buisness community using his litigation techniques. So bad that even the head of the US Chamber of Commerce made public that they will abandon its traditional stance of neutrality to defeat the Kerry/Edwards ticket. He's probably the best chance they have, but it's still not saying much.

HAHAHAHA! Man, you guys are in denial. I'm not going to be so smug as to say they will beat Bush, but they are going to put some serious heat on the Repubs either way. Your boys had better cut out the smear campaign, climb down of their high horse, and actually start talking about how they plan to improve their administration or they're going to be out on their asses.

, but I think it's a good move for the Dems.

I firmly believe that the more votes the 3rd party gets the better off we are as a Democracy. Hopefully the percentage for 3rd party will grow with each new election.

One thing the Bush administration fails to do is to connect with the people on a regular basis. I haven't seen much from the Bush Campaign lately. They've been on the campaign trail constantly though throughout the battleground states, but haven't I haven't seen too much press on it lately. When it comes to the Kerry camp, every single day I turn on the television I hear Kerry telling us how America can be a much stronger country under his leadership, yet they seem to stop short on telling us what they have in mind.

Kerry just last month held a pro-choice fund raising event with a huge group of women, and had the nerve to tell us last week during a stop in the mid-west that life begins at conception.

My point is that he voted for partial birth abortion, and then went into a region of the country where the pro-life view of the debate is prominent and flip-flopped.
