![]() | Kerry and Edwards caught in a bind
Kerry wants cheaper health care, and Edwards along with his trial lawyer status wants to drive up the costs by using litigation techniques he used to build his career by suing doctors and hospitals for billions of dollars. How will this work out? |

Geees. I was poking fun. And just because he gave up the career doesn't mean he's not an advocate. His top 20 donors are trial lawyers.

It's common knowledge. Trial lawyers raped corporations and doctors for almost 300 billion dollars last year, ultimately driving up prices of goods and services. The first thing that comes to mind is the mother of an 8 year old in NY suing McDonalds for almost 10M because the food made her daughter fat.

Really? Could you be more specific on that one?

You're the one throwing accusations around. Maybe you should consider backing up your claims with factual sources instead of copying and pasting the rhetoric on drudge report. I'll give you a first hand account of what its like to visit a clinic without coverage. While switching health care providers I made a $130.00 visit to the doctor to find out I have a sinus infection. |

And speaking of trial lawyers going to town on corporations, the tobacco settlement alone was over 300 billion wasn't it? I didn't say that the McDonalds suit survived, I knew it was thrown out, im showing you how far trial lawyers have gone in suing companies over lame accusations and how low the system has gone to rake in billions of dollars. Causing jobs to have been lost, and crippling buisness. Edwards is/was/will be part of that problem.

Price controls are what keep the prices down in Canada. That's why. And imposing price controls in America would be a recipe for disaster, being that America produces the drug. If we were to impose price controls here in America, the standard, just as in other areas of life, would drastically decline because it cuts into the process of making the most effective drug available on the market. The costs will inevitably be eaten up somewhere down the line. It's easier I guess, to point fingers and criticize than to actually find out the reasons why things are the way they are. |

Viagra on NASCAR A herpes commercial every 5 seconds Do you have heartburn, irritable bowels, high blood pressure etc...... Yep, definetely too much advertising dollars being spent. Not to mention, go spend about 2 hours in the Dr. Office and come back and tell me how many drug reps come in and out that door. Then follow them into the parking lot and tell me what kind of car they are driving for basically delivering "trials" to the Dr. office. You think we are paying extra for this? Nah certainly not. WTF? Do we need to advertise for "Prescription" drugs? You either need them or you don't. Your doctor should be "telling" you what you need, not the other way around. Another example things are out of control. I had my shoulder repaired this summer. The "Procedure" that took all of 1 1/2 hours cost, get this, over 10,000 dollars. When you can buy a car for the price of repairing a tendon, things are out of control!
