Help For All You Undecided Voters

This is, in my opinion, the absolute most valid way of determining who to vote for. I thank God that younger generations are finally starting to really get involved in politics. I just can't understand why the candidates never take young voters seriously.

"You wouldn't want to fall and chip your teeth on the keg or something, and I could just picture 'college-era' Bush seeing a hot girl across the room and dropping everything he was doing to go talk to her," the Kappa Alpha brother said.

Yea, that was my reason for not voting for Clinton...

It's still a hard one to figure out...

You've got bush, who might be strong enough to hold you, from all the horse riding and ranching, but might be too slow or too coked up to handle you right...

and then you got kerry, who's tall enough to provide that balance and support, but might not even be in the frat cause he was too Emo and his anti-establishment anti-jock messages might have inspired an ass beating before he got to the keg...

No no, this year, I think I'm going to have to write in my vote for Ted Kennedy, that dirty boozer...

What's with the Democratic ticket's hair, though. I've got to say, it's a little creepy.

This is such a ridiculous method on the part of these fratboys for obvious reasons. First off, we all know that neither Bush nor Kerry would have been at a party with keg stands - black tie martini parties perhaps. Second, Bush would have been in the bathroom cutting out rails all night and Kerry would have been eating acid on a bean bag listening to Pink Floyd. I think that I have to agree with johnny861 on this one - the only choice is Ted Kennedy. I'm sure he could do some mean keg stands back then and all the years have only added to his tolerance. I could also see Clinton being a good choice, but he'd likely only assist women in short skirts.

I'm fascinated by proper grammar as well.

I am assuming she's getting huffy because I said some things she didn't like in one of that guy's church advert threads. So I guess because I said the guy (dances for JC or whatever) was annoying and counterproductive, then she must think I am some raging Christian-hating Atheist.

Even if that were the case, which it is not, I believe that my grammar is still correct. Using a phrase like "I hope to God" or "God help us all" addresses a specific deity, whether or not I am actually calling out to the god of a particular religion. On the other hand, if I was simply using "god" as a generic noun as in "the Greeks believed in many gods," then the word should not be capitalized. I am not an English teacher, but this seems correct to me. Please advise me if I have made a grammatical error.

Even if a being is fictional, capitalizing its name is proper english. Well, unless it's sherlock holmes. Screw that guy.

No, you're correct; I do the same. As long as you're actually addressing what you identify as a supreme being capitalization is correct, whereas using a phrase or speaking of someone else's (differing) belief(s) is appropriate in the lowercase.

Capitalization in this case is based on personal faith and reflection.
