Dubya's Abortion rumor?

Is it real? or is it Michael Mooresque real?

Anyway, some interesting gossip none-the-less and might explain what he's been doing when he wasn't showing up for Army Reserve duty or not....

(taken from another bulletin board)

"George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion."

In the winter of 1971, Dubya, in his young 20's and working on his dad's campaign, was dating a woman named Robin Lowman (now Robin Garner). Miss Lowman became pregnant by "the Shrub" and he arranged for her to have an abortion at the Twelve Oaks Hospital in Houston, TX (now the Bayou City Medical Center).

Keep in mind that in 1971, abortion was very illegal in the great state of Texas!! Abortion became legal in 1973, when Roe v. Wade (a TX case) was decided. Is abortion OK for Bush and his family, but not for the rest of America...?? Exactly how does he reconcile this with his "pro-life" stance??

Now the incorrigible Larry Flynt (gotta love him) says he plans to market a Bush abortion story as genuine - in a book to be published this summer by Kensington Press. "This story has got to come out," the wheelchair-bound Hustler magazine honcho told the Daily News' Corky Siemaszko. "There's a lot of hypocrisy in the White House about this whole abortion issue."

Flynt stated "We've been able to locate the doctor who performed the procedure (unintelligible) hospital in Houston. Not only that but we have the affidavits from four of her friends stating that they knew about the affair, the pregnancy and the subsequent abortion. The only thing we could not have which we needed to break the story was the girl to come out, and she would not come out. Whether she was afraid or whether she was paid off, I don't really want to speculate, because I don't know what the actual reason was.

Considering that cocaine use was acceptable for Bush yet now he feels AIDS patients should not be able to smoke marijuana, I would not doubt that this double standard exists. This story has been out for a while and there seems to be a lot of evidence backing it up but little initiative to bring it to public light. Though we can't be sure if it's true or not, if it is true we can be certain of two things. First off, any records proving it will have been "misplaced" or "accidentally destroyed" years ago, much like the president's military records. Second, he will never admit it in a million years even if a video tape surfaces of him performing the abortion himself, and his followers will claim it is just a "liberal conspiracy."

Re: Re: Dubya's Abortion rumor?

And as much as most people don't want to accept it, Flynt has managed to dredge up verifyable dirt on a lot of politicians, so this falls in the "very possible" category for me.

Flynt believes the story. He spent LOTS of money trying to verify the story. He claims he (his investigators) found the hospital and the woman but she won't talk and the records no longer exist. If Flynt had even one iota of verifiable data beyond the limit of defamtion - - don't you think he'd have printed it?

Sounds like Flynt is searching for his own WMD...

Perhaps it happen and perhaps it didn't... but there is intelligence out there about it...

Everyone that i've ever met that has had an abortion or been a party too, became behemothely anti-abortion after the incident.

Most women are emotionally scarred after undergoing an abortion.

Most women at the abortion clinics don't realize what they're doing.

Did bush have part in an abortion in the 70's? I dunno maybe.

Does that make him a bad person?

No.

We are all bad people.

If he did its in the past and its over. He's obviously taken the proper stance for it now, so good for him.

If you want to know if he did or not, maybe you should ask him yourself.
