senator mike dewine r-ohio's arguement concerning tobacco advert's

i was just watchin c-span and they are goin over a new measure to increase fda's power over tobacco - and i think that is ok - they were talkin about puttin actual ingredients on each package or some shit, im thinking they should definately do that...

so then senator mike dewine gets up and starts talking about how tobacco industry is trying to market to young children... this is where i get upset.. he shows ads from a few magazines... they are all clearly made with an adult in mind, some fancy graffics on some, but clearly no usage of anything that particularly is made with a child in mind! he all the time says yeah this is clearly made to target a young child.. why are senators so fucking stupid and why do they falsify things???

i dont hardly ever smoke and yeah i believe it may very possibly be bad for you, but clearly there is a lot of bs goin on that should be left out, like this marketing for young children bs.. imo..

also, does c-span have achives to view?? im getting upset because there are several issues that im interested which are getting the same bs treatment... medical mary j for one..
