![]() | Kerry campaign has had enough
They decided to file a complaint to the FEC against the swift vets for running their commercials. Aw, poor John. It's fair game, being that the 527 shadow groups have opened an onslaught of negative ads against Bush. Also, the Kerry campaign has threatened the publisher of the Unfit for Command book calling on them to quit publishing books that contain false information. Maybe Bush should file a complaint against Soros and moveon.org, along with the other groups that spew propoganda all over the internet, television, radio, etc. Maybe Bush should silence Michael Moore? And all of the 30-40 propoganda books out there attacking Bush and Cheney? ![]() It just goes to show you who wants to silence the opponent. |

It's not fair when the ad's are financed by friends of the Bush family

Bush has spoken out against 527s but has refused to denounce the swift boat ads. He certainly isn't helping himself by playing coy with this. Something like 85% of 527s are pro democrat.Considering the teeming skeletal population of his own closet, willingly following the 527s down the low road by winking at the swifties message is inviting more attacks on himself. I have no desire to see Bush re-elected, but given Kerry's seeming reluctance to provide a detailed plan for the future, I think Bush would be better served by denouncing the ads and focusing on the future, where Kerry seems more vulnerable, rather than debate the past, which doens't seem like a fight he can win.

FYI, Kerry has denounced Moveon.org's ads accusing Bush of using family connections to get into the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/...oat/index.html |

I don't frequent moveon.org 'cuz I'm already a liberal and don't see any need to read only what I already believe. However if they are participating in the politics of deception and destruction along with the Swift Boatpeople, then yes, I am bashing them too.I find it distressing that something as important as the democratic process of free elections is so heavily influenced by special interest money. It is disheartening to hear so many voters that can only repeat generalizations and distortions when giving their reasons for how they vote. I'm not in favor of censorship, but I certainly think that special interest money has far too much access to mediums like television that for too many people is their only source of information.

Look, the Bush campaign came out immediately after the first ad a few weeks ago, and connected them to the 527 loophole. Kerry only bitched about the moveon ads AFTER the vietnam vets started their game. What is it, 2 years now that they have strengthened their web of connections to attack Bush? And Kerry hasn't said a thing. Give me a break. Again, it's okay to attack Bush with Farenheit 9/11, Bushwacked, Bushworld, etc, and Bush doesn't say a thing. But when the vietnam vets gain steam with a couple thousand dollars, Kerry immediately files a complaint. Do I need to explain how Michael Moore is connected to Moveon.org, and how there are different groups out there that are tied to the Kerry camp? It's all inter-connected. From what the radical left has been preaching, you would expect Ashcroft to come bolting out of the State Department to silence these people. But who files the complaint? Bush might as well file a complaint against Bruce Springstein & Co., George Soros, Michael Moore with the 9/11 gig, and Moveon.org, etc. I love how the left complains that Bush is a facist. Everywhere you turn you hear that Bush is trying to silence someone. That very comment shows you how hollow their argument is. |
