This quote from John Kerry's senate testimony illustrates his convictions and is obviously relevant to current events. One wonders what Bush, a man who repeatedly questions Kerry's patriotism and convictions, had to contribute to national dialog at that time.

I could go pull out polls pre 2000 suggesting that Gore was going to win.

If I may cite purely anecdotal, personal experiance, I know quite a few people that voted for GWB in 2000 that now intend to vote for Kerry. The reasons they give range from their feeling that Bush has betrayed fiscal conservatives by his increased spending and ballooning deficits, to seeing him as beholden to his corporate supporters and pandering to the far right religous wing of the GOP.For what its worth, I know not one Gore supporter that plans to vote Bush in November.
