I now officially hate Amerika's politics

I was disgusted before by the whole political scene (see sig), but seeing the bullshit fly with this election just confirms everything to me.

I came to a startling revelation the other day: it's not Bush I really fucking hate. Personally, I think the man's a fucking dumbass and anyone that doesn't believe me needs to go back and watch one of his many appearances in which there is a microphone within stammering / bumblefucking range. Who I really, truly hate are the people that stand behind this man, and will do anything ANYTHING to make sure their team wins.

When do you step back and realize that the system that was created, while a good idea at the beginning, has ushered in a wave of followers that push the system beyond its intended use and fuck it all up? We may live in a country that preaches democracy but shit: with the mud-slinging and character defamation that goes around whenever an election comes up, what are we REALLY living in? Certainly not a democracy that the founding fathers intended.

So my point is thus: maybe democracy was a good idea once, but its time for a new one, because the followers are fucking assholes.

Since dealing with the present oligarchy doesn't seem to be working, how about we make this puppet show real and go towards a total autocracy.

Incoming autodefenestration. . .

In all seriousness, I'm not sure what would work best for America since there are so many needs that its populace desire/need. The point to that statement is that in other countries, you predominately have a standard person indigenous to the area that knows, lives, and follows by what has been in place for time immemorial. You get influx from other countries, but your country is made up of mostly your countrymen.

America is made up of people from all over the world. We have to try to please and serve the needs of those who wish to become like us when we don't even know what we are at times.

An "ideal" democracy serves this purpose. Does not Communism as well? I am not a "pinko" clown (lol), but am I not right in the comparison of the ends of both means? To serve the "people" involved?

I see the seeds of a future civil war being planted on both sides of the fence...

At the pace we're going, next year is going to be an interesting year for America... regardless of who wins this election...

Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown!

And Don't Come Back!!!

/chuckle on

(some feedback on that thought I presented would be really nice, though. That way I can tell if I have flipped my "whig" or if I should remain a loyalist.)

If I had my choice off-hand, I'd go back to Belgium, but given my work, I may wind up in Germany or France (both of which are dope). The only reason I don't mention New Zealand or Australia is I haven't been to either yet, but both seem pretty nice from what I've read.

If you think you'll get a better deal somewhere else, please let me know where. I have been all over this little planet and I have yet to find the equitable, open-minded, democratic utopia I so badly desire. I thought I found that perfect place in Denmark, then I saw my friend's paycheck stub. I thought I found it in Canada, then I had to go to the doctor. I thought I found it in Thailand, but then I came down. The point is that the ole US of A has got some major problems, but you'd be hard-stretched to find a place that solves them.

My strategy? Work my ass off, take advantage of all the opportunities I have in this country, and then run my business from Costa Rica or some other third-world paradise where I can buy my freedom from the bureaucracy and bipass the bullshit that comes with living in a cohesive society. When I leave this country, it won't be to go starve myself working illegaly in a pub in some freezing European village just so I can be some place without Bush and NASCAR.

We live in the the country with the world's highest standard of livnig, most powerful economy the world has even known, ditto the military and a country that leads the world in higher education, the only country to put a man on the moon, etc etc etc etc - I'd call the US incredibly successful.

You are saying we do not have a homogenous society like say Japan or Iceland?

"Communism" has never been tried. That was for Krash and a few others. However, its been tried a lot. It has been an exercise in horror.... Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Il Jong to name but a few mass mass murderers.

I am not taking away from our past contributions and accomplishments, I'm talking about present day. Ou economy still holds a major sway upon the world, but ever since 2001 has been subject to the same deep fears reserved for South American and some Asian countries. Until I found the below link, I thought that we were behind (compared to the rest of the world, undergraduate-wise), so I stand corrected before I even start that battle.

http://ed.sjtu.edu.cn/ranking.htm

(Yes, I know that this ranking in opinionated as are ALL polls.)

I figured, why not show the word the light of day? I love words! My verbose nature should be evident by now. My post total seems to be flying through the roof as of late. . .Thanks for the nod.

And we shouldn't. That is what makes us "America". In being "America" though, we are supposed to welcome and bring out the talents of those who enter our shores. We seem to get the latter half of that second statement only (evidenced by what I've seen growing up in the South all my life).

I understand the "ideal" system setup for both Democracy and Communism and thought that the end means was still the same (support for the people by people's direct intervention and exercise of power), but I definitely am not blind as to the jaunts that have been taken in either ones' name. So much for living in a vacuum (where everything works as written).

I worked for a Danish company for 11 years, while I was never there, I worked with Danes that were sent here to share technological advances with american operations and was quite close with many of them. They have a much more proactive approach to solving problems than us. Its true that their tax rate is much, much higher than ours, however their citizens are provided with health care and higher education. They have a 35 hr workweek and generous family leave as well as a minimum of 5 wks vacation a year. Granted they don't have our military budget to contend with, but as a result of investing in their citizens they have a higher standard of living, lower crime and poverty, a more educated citizenry , regardless of the myths perpetuated by conservatives, they are not a bloated inefficient socialist state, they have a thriving economy and own large chunks of america as well. I know that their system wouldn't necessarily work here but I fail to understand why we consider corporate profits more important than the health, education and welfare of our citizens.
