![]() | Does God Really Exist? - program on PBS
If anyone is interested, there's a special TV program on PBS right now exploring this subject using the contrasting viewpoints of Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis.

I have it recorded on my DVR. It was an outstanding show. I think it really showed how delicate the balance between the secular approach to humanity, and the spiritual approach to humanity really is, and how they both work together in weaving how humans work. I learned a lot of things about a couple of folks I've always had a lot of respect for. Never knew "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" was an Allegory for Chrisitianity.

C.S. Lewis was raised in a Christian home, but at the age of 13, he abandoned his childhood faith. Twenty years later, after having a long talk with J.R.R. Tolkien (a Catholic, Lord of the Rings author), Lewis came back to the faith and professed that he believed Jesus Christ is the Son of God. His literary works from that point on are based upon Christianity. | |
